Welcome to the official website of the Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. On behalf of our nearly 200 members, I invite you to explore our site to gain a greater understanding of who we are and what we do.


As members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated
®, the illustrious ladies of Upsilon Tau Omega are dedicated to the ideals of service and sisterhood. Since our 1997 chartering, we have worked tirelessly to implement programs that enrich the lives of residents of Southern Prince George’s County, Maryland. We value the relationships that have enabled us to further this mission, and we continue to seek partnerships with similarly-focused organizations.

 

Under the leadership of our distinguished International President, Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover, we are Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service by executing programming in the following target areas:

BUSINESS OF THE MONTH

JFL & Associates Counseling Services, LLC



UTO's Spotlight Member is  Dr. Joanne Frederick


JFL & Associates Counseling Services, LLC is under the direction of UTO member, Dr. Joanne Frederick. She has been in the field of Counseling for over 28 years as a University Professor and a Counselor in Private Practice.  Dr. Frederick specializes in treating people with Anxiety, Depression, Relationship issues, Terminal illnesses, and learning disabilities.  She works with individuals, couples, groups, adults and children. Dr. Joanne favorite motto is, “It’s ok, talk about it.”

 

Dr. Joanne is a graduate of Morgan State University, in Baltimore, Maryland.  She was initiated in 1997 into the Upsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.   Dr. Joanne also has a Doctorate Degree in Counseling from the George Washington University in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Masters’ Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Baltimore.
